I recieved an email with Pioneer country emmaus forum site on it. The basic concept was from a peron named Mariam Abdullah. She says her father died and all his millions are in a bank in a foreign country. For her to inherit his money someone in America has to recieve the funds on her behalf by transferring the funds into their PERSONAL bank account and then transfer to hers. So when you email her back she will send you her bank information so you can contact them in return you would give her bank your information to transfer into. This same scam has been going on for years. The good semaritan gives their personal information and has not only their money but also their identity stolen. This email should be researched more. The authorities say to delete it and go on. Just wondering if anybody else has recieved the same thing. Shelly Williamson
The user who sent you that email has been "locked" from using the forum. We periodically check new members to the forum and if they have no affiliation to Emmaus, we generally lock their account which deletes them for all intents and purposes.
I received the same email, and just deleted it. I need to see how I change my email address for my account. I though I had updated it since I moved back here to the city. Thanks for any information on what to do.
